It is a great and wonderful way to make a living and establish your own business. Being a wedding planner is perfect for anyone who loves weddings and someone who is highly organized. The wedding industry is huge. The association of bridal consultants estimated that consumers spend nearly $33 billion on their weddings every year. The average wedding cost approximately $20,000. Many brides to be are hiring wedding planners to help ensure her wedding day, the single most important day in a women’s life, is planned flawlessly.  Wedding coordinators are being hired to also help couples save time, money and take in the stress for them. Wedding planners need to know the ins and outs of weddings. To be a Wedding coordinator you need to be highly organized, patient, detailed, and imaginative and above else be great with people. Being a wedding planner can have it is stress like anything else, but it can be quite rewarding. Some wedding planners charge a percentage of the wedding cost, sometimes anywhere between 10 to 15 percent. Other coordinators, charge anywhere from $50 to $150 per hour for their services.
